Diana Ellinger is an Australian artist and freelance illustrator based in Madrid. Inspired by collections of photographic ephemera, musty secondhand picture books, and the patterns on the surface of all things Diana creates libraries of overlooked and once-unwanted images. From these she creates intimate and layered paintings using rustic earth-toned palettes. She has shown in exhibitions in Hobart, Melbourne, and Canberra, where she studied Visual Arts at the Australian National University.
Diana also studied Communication Design at RMIT University and her illustrations draw on seven years of graphic design industry experience. She applies her folksy and intuitive style to the production of hand-drawn illustrations for clients such as Fosters and boutique business such as Pinotta Restaurant and Hunting for George.
